Poltergeist II

After the destruction of their home and their lives, the Freelings are forced to live with Diane's parents. Unfortunately, this new place of residence is situated on unholy ground. When the mad cult leader Kane, who slaughtered his followers nearby a century ago, returns in demonic form to kidnap Carol Anne, the terror ensues.

Giger created numerous designs for the Poltergeist 2 motion picture. He never felt that the realizations of these designs in the 1985 production were good enough. Though Giger went to Hollywood to review the physical renderings of his painted designs, the Poltergeist 2 brass told him that there wasn't enough time for improvements. Aliens was in production concurrently, and though he was not asked, that is where Giger would rather have been.
